Changing Seasons

Well spring is nearly done and dusted.  Summer is only a few short weeks away.  Here in the subtropics the storm season is being felt.

These are the menacing clouds creating havoc around Brisbane yesterday.

Other changes in the season are a little closer to home.  My lovely teenager son is coming to the end of his schooling life.  As a family we’ve been having “last one” for a few weeks now.  We’ve had the last music concert, the last school assembly, the last scheduled classes.  We’ve just come through the other side of the last ever school exams.

To say emotions are running high in the family would be an understatement.  All good emotions though!

He has so much excitement ahead of him.  All his university applications are in and it is just a time of waiting.  So what do you do to pass the time while waiting?  You go oversees with your sister for 2 weeks!  They will have the most fabulous time.  I’ll miss them terribly, but the fun it would be to be young again.

I’m trying to keep my emotions in tact for the rest of the week.  There will be many more changes to come next year.  Plans need to be made.  I think I’ll need to keep myself busy.

Here is a couple of things I have managed to finish while all this has been going on.

I finished this skirt

Fresh vegies and herbs have been picked

Okay time to prepare for some more “last one” days ahead.
