Holiday wrap up!

Holidays for hubby and I have now come to an end!  We had two little trips away on our own, and this is just what we needed after the stress at the beginning of our holidays!

We spent a few days up at our property in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.  We always really relax while we’re there.  There’s always work to do on the property, but it’s all good fun as it is usually in preparation for when we move there to live.  This time we started cutting down some trees to start clearing a house site.  I wish I took photos to show you!

Our second little trip away was in the camper trailer.  This time we headed down into New South Wales to a little town called Dalmorton.  It’s between Grafton and Glen Innes, and about 5 1/2 hours drive south west from Brisbane.  The attraction to go there was the Boyd river so hubby could go kayaking.  It didn’t disappoint!  The camp grounds we camped in are fairly remote, no showers but there were toilets!  We take our own shower so this wasn’t a problem for us.  The best part about this trip was we were the only people there at the camp for the whole three nights we had there!  I love a nice quiet camp.  The temperatures were rather cold during the night and early morning, but the days were just glorious, getting down to about 2-3c and getting up to between 20 and 25c.  Perfect!

Packed and ready to go!

We’ve been home a few days now and have fully defrosted and caught up on all the washing and ironing and trying to prepare ourselves to get back to work tomorrow.  We shouldn’t really complain, we’re on holidays again in ten weeks time!

I’ll be back later in the week with some crafty action to show !

Enjoy,

Annette
