Another month down and, thankfully, only one more of winter to go. The dreaded winter ills hit me terribly during July, so I will be very happy to see the end of it. Unfortunately when the ills arrive all craft and creativity disappears. But looking back I still achieved balance, simplicity and joy! Continue reading
Well I’ve been doing a little stitching on this quilt of mine most nights in front of the telly. I don’t know why I stopped working on it. I’m finding it really therapeutic!
I managed to hand quilt around two stars this week. I managed this amount just nicely. I don’t want to pressure myself to do more, but if I get more done well that will be a bonus.
I hope everyone is enjoying a great week!
It’s been a while since I’ve talked about the decluttering going on here at Eucalypt Tree. It seems to be something we are constantly working on. It may not always look like it but it certainly feels like it. This weekend I decided to do a little bit in my craft room! Continue reading
I recently mentioned we spent a long week end in Melbourne. Oh, we love Melbourne so much. We probably went at the coldest time of the year, but it was great. Melbourne is known for rainy cold weather, but it didn’t rain one little drop while we were there. Our main reason for visiting Melbourne was to go to the Van Gogh – seasons exhibition at the NGV. It didn’t disappoint! Continue reading
Well it’s been while since I finished my special baby blanket and I haven’t really gotten into anything else. So I went into the dark depths of my craft room to look for a very long standing WIP. It’s been ongoing for so long now, I don’t even remember where or what I was making this quilt for. It’s from long before I started blogging, so don’t have any photos of the beginning of this quilt. Continue reading
Holidays for hubby and I have now come to an end! We had two little trips away on our own, and this is just what we needed after the stress at the beginning of our holidays!
We spent a few days up at our property in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. We always really relax while we’re there. There’s always work to do on the property, but it’s all good fun as it is usually in preparation for when we move there to live. This time we started cutting down some trees to start clearing a house site. I wish I took photos to show you! Continue reading
Half the year gone already! June was such a mixed month for us here. There have been some highs and some lows.
Happy 1st Birthday to Eucalypt Tree! Can you believe it? When I started I didn’t know if it would be something I would continue or just let it fade away. I have to admit, I’m glad I stayed. I’ve enjoyed every bit of it.
I am trying really, really hard not to keep purchasing any more fabric or sewing patterns. Obviously I have absolutely no control what so ever when it comes to purchasing these things! Continue reading
I actually finished this gorgeous blanket nearly two weeks ago! With the business of life and poor photographic conditions it has taken me all this time to show it off! Continue reading
